Odafe & Oweh & Jaelan Phillips are great examples why teams should trade for a pass rusher if possible for a non premium pick on exp con.
Both players were acquired for a 3rd pick or less cost last year.
The teams they depart from will recoup close to that via a comp pick.

Not going to lie. I thought there was no chance that the Las Vegas Raiders would get two 1s for Maxx Crosby.
This is a massive overpay by the Baltimore Ravens give Crosby’s age.
Glad the Chicago Bears didn’t try and top this. Onto FA & the draft.

ESPN sources: the Raiders agreed to trade five-time Pro-Bowl DE Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for 2026 and 2027 first-round picks. The trade cannot be processed until next week, but it is in place. And Crosby is expected to be a Raven with two 1s back to Vegas.

If the Chicago Bears do get awarded the 2 comp picks, they should do everything they can to acquire Maxx Crosby without having to part with two 1sts.
They would have 9 draft picks in the first 3 rounds over the next 2 drafts. Plenty of ammo for a trade.
