@MFGooni Dual welding let's you activate the bigs effects twice, one for each hand, plus the third with extra attack. Archery is also good too because you can keep pushing the creature away or into hazards like entangle or spike growth spells.

@darkleaf27 You see I'm doing a character that has been ostracized from the outside of the world and now is reinquainted to adventuring but the bugs are his only true friend originally I was going to go archery but dual wielding does sound fun

@MFGooni Ranger does just have the tax of "everything else is cooler" but If you just focus on the character aspect more you can make interesting concepts. Had a brewer ranger who used his alcohol as poison to cost his weapon. Neat stuff you can do if creative enough
