Each year, the David E. Hastings Trophy honours an executive who has made a lasting impact on their team and the IBL. Larry Wood, the 2024 recipient, was instrumental in shaping the Hamilton Cardinals' success. Though he passed in September at 73, his legacy will live on.

Our Hamilton Cardinals are named after the PONY League Hamilton Cardinals, who were affiliated with the St. Louis Cardinals and played in our city in during the 1940s and 50s.
