🇮🇳 Indian Air Force's An-32 military transport aircraft crashed while landing at Jorhat Air Force Station in Assam on June 13. According to reports, the pilots were killed in the crash. A statement from the Indian Air Force (IAF) confirmed the incident adding that "a court of inquiry is being constituted to ascertain the cause of the accident". Antonov An-32 is a Russian turboprop twin-engined military transport aircraft. #IndianAirForce has around 100 An-32s in service which are being upgraded with modern avionics equipment, new oxygen systems and improved crew seats. #An32 IAF's aging An-32 fleet will be replaced under the Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) program. The main contenders of the MTA program are Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules and Embraer C-390 Millennium.
