@atlanticesque Did UK wizards participate in the colonial government of India? They strike me as very insular and uninterested in the muggle world's imperial ambitions. It checks out that UK wizard institutions (magic boarding schools) didn't spread to India

Obviously JK Rowling isn't interested in "worldbuilding" and she isn't very good at it when she tries, but this map isn't totally crazy to me. All this really says is that most of the world's magic-users don't attend formalized wizarding boarding schools. Which seems plausible!

One day we're gonna have a story about "fire people" where fire is reflective of a compassionate, non violent culture. Where fire is mostly used to heal and catarize wounds, to be a guiding light in darkness, to bring warmth to the cold, and to "purify" meals.
