@tophepahle Men hvorfor ikke heller velge «inspirert av» som Daisy Jones & The Six gjorde med Fleetwood Mac? Hvorfor må de ha ekte navn hvis de uansett skal ta seg friheter?

Jo. Jo, det kan man.

@hormonedietdoc @KayLKelley Was this thyroid-related question/response about statins or Q10?
English

@KayLKelley It improves oxygenation of the mitochondria that’s also what Triiodothyronine (T3) does
English

Statins & their relationship to the coenzyme CoQ10
Statin drugs, prescribed to lower cholesterol work by inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase, the key to the Mevalonate pathway that produces both cholesterol & (CoQ10)
#Statins cause CoQ10 depletion & this is dangerous
English

@desemberlys If you message me and tell me your symptoms I could suggest if you fit the subtype. Do you have POTS? orthostatic intolerance? sensitive to carbs? blood pooling hands and feet? male or female?

Ron putting tangible progress for ME/CFS patients ahead of any personal benefit. This is a beautiful thing.

English

@tamararivc Would it be possible to mention in short here what subtype you think will respond to statins? Is it related to particular symptoms? (I will not be able to watch a video…)
English

@Fighting_LC @DafoeWhitney @patientled For me anti-histamines, statins and LDA. However I think the statins will only work for a subtype of patients. I am making a longer video explaining it so I will tag you when I post it.

Apple TV+ isn’t done exploring the depths of space.
The streamer has renewed its drama series ‘For All Mankind’ for Season 5. Additionally, Apple TV+ has given the green light to a spinoff series titled ‘Star City,’ also from creators Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi bit.ly/3vSDe6j

@missfallaloft @doyouseem_e_now I do really miss Nexavir. Do you know of anyone who had effect from the sc injections that has tried the transdermal version? Is it just as effective for them?

Drugs I’m hopeful about #LongCovid
1. Valcyclovir and other antivirals
2. IVIG
3. Metformin
4. SGB (procedure)
5. FMT (procedure)
6. Efgartigimod
7. Ampligen
8. Monoclonal Antibodies
English

@chydorina I am trying to find if it is possible to combine Metformin and high dose Thiamine of if they will cancel each other out?
English

Metformin for the win!
Some people ARE "super-responders"
....Hmmm...wonder if there is a set of pre-existing conditions/blood tests we could use to determine this?
I am obviously overjoyed that Metformin has been so helpful for you!
Just a caution.
With any medication there are average responders, poor responders, and that coveted group - the "super-responders".
I would say that given your pre-existing conditions - and genetics and biochemistry you are in the super-responder group.
I actually took metformin for years and never noticed an affect. I didn't see this as a negative thing necessarily - i know that this doesn't mean the medication is not helping. I ended up stopping after my @mitoswab test showed very severe mitochondrial dysfunction (and we know metformin can make mito dysfunction worse).
There are always going to be positives and negatives and we need to do a risk:benefit analysis based on our own health histories and needs.
Metformin is safe enough and cheap enough that I do think its a no-brainer to try in #LongCovid.
I am not as convinced for those with #MECFS especially if they have had it for years.
I may give it another try - i have done lots of work on my mitochondria this past year - not sure yet.
For almost anyone else I would also caution against linking improvement to the last thing they tried - but you have a very good understanding of health and disease and have been through a lot - so I think in your case its much less likely that this is a spontaneous improvements versus that you are a super-responder.
Enjoy it!!

@Telia_N_presse

Metformin ....keeps popping up as a potential treatment for #LongCovid from so many different angles.
Not a 'you will get better for sure' treatment - that does not exist, but a 'you may be better off with this than without it and not decline as much'.
Unfortunately that IS the goal right now.
Do not decline. Don't let the dysfunctions pile up. It will take work. Dont do nothing.
Manage neuroinflammation, cellular membrane health (lipid and plasmalogen replacement), gut-brain axis and leaky gut. Stay as healthy as possible. Its a waiting game.

@MrTheposter @LoganSTL1 @khaliqure @chydorina I am curious to try again, I don’t know what would have happened if I continued… I’m guessing either a serious crash or it could have cleared up after a while? But I feel like I need to understand what mechanisms caused the build up before a second try.
English

@MrTheposter @LoganSTL1 @khaliqure @chydorina Only a couple of days. It was not a general decline, just the lactic acid build up and muscle reactions, and it was out of the body quite fast.
English

@khaliqure @chydorina Same here. Weak muscles and lactic acid buildup. I stopped a week in as it got increasingly worse. But still curious… Do you think this could be a worse-before-better kind of thing, @chydorina ?
English

@chydorina I have used Metformin for ME/CFS but my symptoms got worse particularly muscles got too weak. The idea was to enhance the mitochondrial function but I could not see any benefits my thigh muscles got very weak so stopped the muscle recovered started again same effect so stopped
English

@filmhelten Years and Years - skulle i alle fall veldig gjerne sett den igjen, utrolig at den forsvant fra strømming.
