My first job paid me $250/mo which was a SDE intern at Newgen Software. my first ever payout from X was $1,300 for sharing posts about learnings and building my business i remember staring at that number not quite believing it was real in the midnight i was like damn, now we also got this running; side income lfg and then client work picked up. posting became inconsistent. i stopped putting in the same effort i did in those first few weeks. $430. then $423. then $273. then $81. then $77. the payouts didn't drop because the platform changed anything but rather because i stopped putting that effort and showing up. Bluntly, the algorithm has no idea about your client deadlines or how busy your week was. it only ever rewards what you actually showed up & rewards basis the attention economy i've been staring at this graph for the last few days and it's the clearest signal i've gotten on my own consistency in a while. time to fix it : ) More bangers coming soon !
