South Africa is set to pilot drive-thru police stations in a bid to improve service delivery and reduce long queues at stations. The initiative, expected to roll out in major metros, will allow members of the public to report crimes, submit affidavits, certify documents and pay fines, without leaving their vehicles. Officials say the move is aimed at “modernising policing” and easing pressure on frontline officers. A SAPS insider says if successful, the model could be expanded nationwide. To see just how bad the Gauteng Provincial Government's website actually is, I did a bit of looking around. If you go to this link: gauteng.gov.za ...without clicking on ANYTHING on the website, you are presented with a login dialogue box (see below) Looking at the site's back-end info, it's built on ASP 4.0. Now, support for ASP 4.0 was ended in 2016 by Microsoft and considered to be "extremely outdated and obsolete" today. It should have AT LEAST been updated to 4.8.1 AGES ago!! But nope ... It's sitting on 4.0 🤣🤣 Are we surprised it got hacked? Not at all!! 😬😇
