Happy moment for me: Glad to see my hand made ground handling equipment piece on this month's @jetairways Jet Wings inflight magazine. Big thanks to @seancouto Sir for the kind gesture on deciding to publish my work. Special mention to @khabri_lal for inspiring me on this.

@JAMESMARTlN The old Alliance Air is definitely on a different level, be it for connectivity, for cabin & crew experience, the old CD is far more superior than the new one. Also, I somehow like the plan white B732 body of Alliance with the black landscape band on the fuselage.

@dipalay The blue overlay atop the classic orange tail of IC. The blue body wrapper was a layer feature. Flew this airline countless times between Baroda (as it used to be) and Delhi in the mid to late nineties. 737-200s. Loved every moment.

The red & blue tails of the 737-200 were the lifeline of Northeast India which later expanded with ATR42 induction. Alliance Air was vital in connecting the people of NE to the rest of India through Kolkata. Those CD flight numbers along with IC always revoke the nostalgia.

Two new FLY91 routes took off today — Hyderabad to Vijayawada and Hyderabad to Rajahmundry — and it takes our count to 11 destinations! At both airports, we were greeted by ceremonial water salutes, first passengers holding on to commemorative boarding passes, and a lot of quiet pride in the background. The Vijayawada–Hyderabad flight was inaugurated by Union Minister of Civil Aviation Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu virtually. Also present was the Minister for Mines and Geology and Excise in the Government of Andhra Pradesh Kollu Ravindra, Airport Director at Vijayawada Airport M. Lakshmikantha Reddy, and FLY91 Chief Revenue Officer Ashutosh Chitnis among those there to mark the moment. Today, we start with daily services for Vijayawada and Rajahmundry, and from 17th April, both routes move to double-daily flights. Just four months into the year, and this is already our third set of new routes alongside Kochi–Agatti, along with the addition of our sixth aircraft last month. Coming to #Vijayawada is incomplete without visiting this iconic Combi B732 VT-EGM. Once an imp Combi #B737 in erstwhile IC fleet, today rusting quitely at a corner in Vijayawada. I last flew on it in 2005, nostalgic to see this again. @nivedita_bhasin @CaptShaktiLumba

The one thing that needs aggressive promotion is the bus service between Panaji-Mopa Airport in #Goa Comfortable, time saving & value for money. Thanks to @KadambaLimited for this initiation. People should opt for this bus service for a better hassle-free journey to/from GOX.

The incident took place near my home town #Silchar in #Assam Flying around this time of the year can be tough & rough in #Northeast 🇮🇳 with occurrence of the famous #Kalboisakhi thunderstorm. Today there is technology but in those days it was too difficult to fly through them.

So good to see VT-SCU getting a new life after retirement. Probably the first fully serviceable A319 aircraft restaurant in the western sector. SCU was scrapped in Mumbai, one of the few A319s which retired in Mumbai after COVID storage. #A319 #AircraftRestaurant
