@dmboomer @THEREALJHOBA @NBA__Courtside Here’s the problem I have with guys like you. You falsely claim something, get proven wrong for it, and then fall on the sword with the “it’s so obvious” gimmick. There’s literally no research, or proof in his article. Must be your friend’s article

Stephen A. Smith says he finds it a tad bit odd that we sit here today and the Lakers got two injured stars on their team and neither of them are LeBron James: “Let me tell you something people should be embarrassed about. I’m sick and tired of watching this man at age 41 now in his 23rd year. How the hell he healthy and Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves ain’t healthy? I mean, when does the shame kick in? And I’m just using them as an example to all these NBA players out here. If the man is known as spending a million and a half dollars on his body to keep healthy, right? Why the hell ain’t you doing it? You making enough money if you’re the average NBA player. League average salary is over 10 million a year. Quite a few of y’all are getting paid 40, 50 million a year. How come you can’t take care of your body the way LeBron James takes care of his body? I mean, damn. Where’s your pride? Where’s your dignity? I’m just wondering about that. That’s how I feel about it.” (Via @stephenasmith)

Rory McIlroy is an investor in Whoop, wears one of the company's wristbands while playing, and allows the brand to share his data periodically. Here are some of his Masters highlights: • 24,000+ steps on Sunday • 91,000+ steps during the tournament Rory's heart rate spiked to 135 BPM during his tee shot on 18, dropped to 121 BPM during his approach shot, fell further to 105 BPM during his winning putt, and then jumped back up to 150 BPM during his celebration. His resting heart rate for the week was 47-49 BPM. Rory says he follows a strict routine during the PGA Tour season to ensure proper rest and recovery: • No caffeine after 2 PM • Last meal at least 2 hours before bed • Magnesium and theanine for sleep quality • Blue-light-blocking glasses in the evening • Sauana or Epsom salt bath when available • Cool room temperature for sleep He follows the same three-hour routine before every round: arrive at the course → warm up in the gym → eat breakfast → hit balls on the range → putting green. Rory says he believes his focus on longevity will help him play another 10+ years at a high level, and his physiological age on Whoop is now 1.5 years younger than his actual age. Plus, it turned out to be a pretty good investment. Rory initially invested in Whoop in 2020 when the company was valued at $1.2 billion. While we don't know exactly how much he invested, Whoop recently raised another round at a $10.1 billion valuation. That's an 8.4x multiple in five years. Not bad, not bad.

VP Vance just spent 21 hours ‘negotiating’ with the Iranians and just said this in the press debrief: “I won't go into all the details, because I don't want to negotiate in public after we negotiated for 21 hours in private, but the simple fact is that we need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek a nuclear weapon, and they will not seek the tools that would enable them to quickly achieve a nuclear weapon.” We’re suddenly trusting Iran and relying on their word again like the Obama administration? If all we’re hunting is a commitment, how is it any better than the JCPOA? We can’t even secure their commitment to not enrich uranium? What about handing over the “dust”? What about the Strait? I thought we totally obliterated them and had won no matter what? What in the hell are we doing? Makes no sense.

@LanceMcAlister Just need eliminate the right down the middle misses. Other than that, they do a fine job and ABS will only cause them to improve as an ump. It's those umps who've been lazy for the last 15 years and not worked on their craft who are getting exposed.

I imagined ABS fixing the ridiculous misses. The fact we are judging umpires on a 100 mph pitch with filthy movement, and judging them on missing it by 1/10th inch means we have lost the plot.

The NCAA is exploring a significant change to its eligibility rule, sources tell @YahooSports. The proposal creates an age-based standard: Athletes would have 5 years of eligibility from their 19th birthday or HS graduation. No redshirts or waivers. bit.ly/3POqo2D

@Ken_Rosenthal Agree. If the challenged call is overturned by a 16th of an inch, that's still a great call by the ump.

I really want the Dodgers to figure out a way to play Dalton Rushing more He should NOT be traded and he is too good to play every once every 3-4 days. Can he learn 2B, even 3B and Muncy moves back to 2B sometimes and we do some platooning / off days. x.com/BarnHasSpoken2…

n 1945, a young man dropped out of Harvard Law without a degree. He had $20 in his pocket and a family to feed. He became Warren Buffett's only partner. Together they built a $700 billion empire. He never used a computer. Rarely took meetings. Read for 6 hours a day until he was 99. His name was Charlie Munger. The man Buffett called "the abominable no-man" — because he could destroy any bad idea in 30 seconds flat. He didn't have a strategy. He had a system for thinking that made bad decisions almost impossible. I turned Munger's mental models into 12 Claude prompts. Here are all 12: 🧵
