Not only does it need to happen, it flat out will happen. We all know devs are heavily underpaid and overworked. We all know the current software used to make games sucks with optimization. There will be an endless amount of bugs upon release making it unplayable for 2 years.

There hasn't been a real reason to buy another console in almost 10 years. Most exclusives have sucked. The good ones also got PC ports ending their "exclusivity". If all the good ones are on PC, then why were you buying console in the first place?

This article from GameSpot stating that there's no reason to buy a new Xbox or Playstation console. 1) Dev cycles are now 6-10 years. Scattered release schedule. 2) Consoles will be VERY expensive. 3) Devs will still release games on current hardware. I agree 👇🏽
