@FowobiofLagos The poster literally says, “His story begins.” At the end it says “His story continues.” People need to accept this film as a possible prelude to a trilogy setup to explore all the allegations and greatness that will follow from BAD moving forward.
I finally watched MICHEAL… and I get why people are arguing.
This isn’t a biopic.
It’s PR with a budget.
Jaafar Jackson did his thing, no doubt. The voice, the movement, the aura… he STUDIED Michael Jackson properly.
But acting alone can’t save a story that’s scared of itself.
They biggest issue?
The film avoids the hardest conversations.
You can’t tell the story of one of the most controversial figures in pop culture and then… tiptoe around the controversy.
That’s not storytelling. That’s image management.
It feels like the movie is constantly protecting him instead of exploring him.
Every rough edge is softened.
Every uncomfortable moment is rushed.
Every question… quietly dodged.
A great biopic doesn’t worship.
It reveals.
Think of films that show BOTH brilliance and flaws. That’s what makes legends human.
This one just wants you to clap.
The crazy part? There’s actually a GREAT movie hiding inside this one.
The music sequences? Fire.
The performance scenes? Electric.
The emotional depth? Barely scratched.
You leave the cinema entertained… but not enlightened.
And for a figure as complex as Michael Jackson, that feels like a missed opportunity.
Final take:
If you’re a fan, you’ll enjoy it.
If you’re looking for truth, depth, or balance… you might be disappointed.
And that’s where the real debate starts.
What do you think? Did the film tell the truth… or just protect a legacy?
@IGN Michael fans have spoken and his message is indeed in the film! We don’t need a glowing review from IGN telling us whether it’s a good movie or not.
@MirrorManStanly@IGN Dog water take. Movie is an absolute treat for any true MJ fan. Audience score says it all. There’s always been an agenda to tear down the Jacksons. Everyone who ever appreciated him as an artist should go see this movie.
@LugarCinema Jaafar was sensational and not only had to act but perform Michael’s signature moves that many can come close too. Many moments where you forget it’s Jaafar and simply believe MJ is right there in him in spirit. Nobody could ever play MJ up to this point on the silver screen.

@amagicmantv My last gaming PC purchase was from 2013 and I still use it. Power supply and GPU are my only upgrades.
I play Fortnite and a lot of single player games like RE9, Last Of Us, Uncharted etc.
PC Master Race.
I still have an extra gaming PC I plan on giving away this year 🪄
Who needs a new setup and would actually put it to good use 🎮

I hate to break this to SF Giants fans - who are some of my favorite people - but Tony Vitello is not a major league manager and being a fringe Hall of Fame candidate does not make Buster Posey a baseball genius. It's gonna be a long year🤦🏼♂️
Time to guess the score of Sunday's game between the Giants and Yankees..win dinner for two at Original Joe's North Beach, Westlake, or Walnut Creek...@RafaelCorral13 breaks all ties and also chooses a random contestant for dinner at Sotto Mare North Beach..Giants try to win one!
