I am a Catholic, but I must say that this Pope is moving funny to me. There is a whole Christian genocide going on in Nigeria where he once lived. But this man is more focused on the war in Iran and its politics. Hello Sir, there is a war in Nigeria and Africa too, and Christians are victims. He is the Pope of Christians first before anything else. And the welfare of Christians especially those who are being persecuted should be his priority. But Christians were massacred during Easter in Nigeria for their faith and I did not see any strong condemnation or reaction from the Pope. Instead the Pope is consistently focused on the middle East and Donald Trump's and Isreals war with Terrorists. I sincerely do not understand this Pope. It is Silence in the face of evil that makes evil multiply. What exactly does he want the world to do with terrorists who believe their destiny is to kill every unbeliever and take over the world? I hope that this Pope gets his priorities right.

I haven’t been online, so I am just getting updated with what’s happening between the Pope and Trump. But even as a catholic, a dedicated Catholic as well, I don’t support how the Pope is moving in any way. Christians all over the world are being killed and massacred by Muslims, he’s the Pope, his first priority should ALWAYS be protecting his flocks. He has never firmly condemned the killings of Christians in Nigeria, Sudan and even in Iran, his comments are always lackluster and “peaceful”, which no fucking body needs right now. I don’t see imams speaking out for Christians anywhere, why is the Pope getting involved with politics and defending the people killing Christians? Jesus taught us about love and peace but this is not it at all, and I refuse to look the other way to avoid criticizing him like other Catholics, I can love you and still call out your bullshits.

As a Catholic, I’m still trying to understand the reasoning behind the Pope’s first visit to Africa being centered in a Muslim-majority country, with a visit to a mosque. I genuinely want to know how this approach translates into protection, advocacy, or tangible support for Catholics being slaughtered in Nigeria and beyond.

The pope does that every other day in his homily during mass (which is being broadcasted)and excerpts from the scriptures. But uniting people of different religions and being accomodative to unbelievers is synonymous to what Jesus did. “I didnt come here for the righteous but for sinners” Luke 5:32..

The Pope shouldn't be in the business of uniting religions, he should be in the business of telling religions who are worshipping false gods to repent and accept Jesus to save their soul from destruction. But here we are with a social justice pope.
