idk how to feel about this. lack of lighting aside, i feel like there's alot of details that i'm missing, but idk what. maybe it's the clothing folds? i'm still pretty ass at those lol
i'd say i have a fairly simple style so it's hella hard to find that balance of detail

@mamafurba nah i wish :( it's just for practice. i do my warmups traditionally, and recently i've been forcing myself to do them with ink so i can get better confidence in my lines. also fountain pens are just really satisfying to use haha

Even if my usual artstyle is a more exaggerated comic-style I am currently attempting ultra-realistic Fox for fun! #StarFox #スターフォックス

@RyanOttley how long on average does it take you to do just the pencils of a page? great work btw!

Issue 78 of Invincible. An issue where a lot happens, but no actual action. But such huge changes in place back on Earth that this issue just feels huge. I think I’ve posted a few pages from this issue, I can post more later. Just wanted to focus on the cover here. the second slide is the gesture layout I didn’t even know I had a scan of, so I thought it might be interesting. just trying to find the basic composition I want, then I draw it again on an 11x17 piece of Bristol board and finalize the pencils and then inks. Covers normally take me about two days.
