@samjfranco Let's wrap this up: TM provides software and services for venues and is part of Live Nation Ent. We're a separate division from concert promotion and venue operations. We play different and unrelated roles. Ticketmaster does not set prices. It's not semantics. Have a good one.

@dvdmarcus Prices are set by artists and "event organizers". Who is the event organizer for this concert and who owns the venue? LiveNation. Who owns Ticketmaster and LiveNation? Wanna answer that one?

I'm a member of the @davematthewsbnd Warehouse fan club. Because of that, I was able to get tickets in the Pit for about $700 less per ticket than what @Ticketmaster is trying to charge for seats behind the pit... How on earth is this type of price gouging legal? It's insanity.

Imagine if this 'new persona' running the StubHub account on X ends up being the thing that motivates Ticketmaster to lock transfers to the original recipient email, causing Stubhub's "relay transfer" setup to break overnight and StubHub is staring at least 8 figures+ in chargebacks from inaccessible tickets. @alixanfang is smart, wonder is she is aware of the situation? @ScottFriedman3

While we are disappointed by some aspects of today's decision, we are grateful that the district court dismissed all claims in the concert promotions and concert booking markets.  With those claims gone, we see no possible basis for breaking up Live Nation and Ticketmaster.  We look forward to addressing the remaining claims at trial.  The deficiencies we identified in the Government's monopoly power and conduct claims have not gone away, and we continue to believe that we will prevail in the end.

@Southlake4All Yes, the state requires that the ballot say "tax increase." The TRUTH, which is inconvenient for your rant, is that Southlake residents will pay the lowest school tax rate in 10 years if the VATRE passes as a direct result of the school board's active fiscal management.

@dvdmarcus In your opinion, which facts are bullshit vs. bad? We again encourage you to actually read the language on the proposition. It says “tax increase” in very plain English. Ignore that bad fact if you’d like, but “calling bullshit” won’t change that fact.

While Southlake Carroll tries to pass a tax increase to pay for years of neglected maintenance, teacher pay remains far below average. Denton is trying to move up a list that Carroll has completely fallen off of. Carroll needs more money for educators, not locker rooms.

@dvdmarcus Instead, this is a tax increase to plug a budget hole because our board’s PAC worked to get vouchers passed instead of recapture reform. School closures and more property sales come next.

@Southlake4All There are two components of the tax rate - bond interest and maintenance and operations. It says “tax increase” on the ballot is because M&O is increasing but that is more than offset by lower debt service. $.03 lower overall.

@dvdmarcus You drank the kool-aid. There’s a reason that the proposition says “this is a tax increase” right there on the ballot.

Just let this sink in: The @un states openly and publicly that they outright REFUSE to distribute the 950 truckloads of aid that Israel delivered into Gaza unless they have total control to do what they want and send it through Hamas. This has NEVER been about the Gazans. This is all to do with the UN keeping their partners Hamas alive and in business. It’s the UN and Hamas, supported by Qatar, that are deliberately starving Gazans and using it to blame Israel. And Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and the Arab League are helping the UN do it. Once and Nazi, always a Nazi.
