@joecarlsonshow If you manipulate a market, you usually create undesirable inefficiencies and unintended consequences.

Does capping interest expense at 10% for credit cards make sense? Of course it doesn’t, it will simply result in a huge amount of people never being offered credit. But no tax on tips doesn’t make sense either. Why should a server not pay taxes but a checker or cashier pays taxes? Many of Trumps policies are about being popular, not making sense. And republicans should be honest and admit that.

@Brian_Stoffel_ With the advent of the ETF, Bitcoin became very correlated with the market. I believe the link was an shared appetite for risk. It is interesting to see it break stride right now. It seems to me that some of the holders are still feeling the sting from last year's leverage event.

Is it just me, or are we witnessing a pretty important decoupling of Bitcoin from growth stocks?

@joecarlsonshow I'm going to say Amazon, but I could see Apple making a big move. They've given their shareholders little to work with so finally making a big AI announcement could really move the needle.

@joecarlsonshow Many got rich by not being afraid to push the boundaries. It's hard to get conservative after being rewarded for pushing it.

One thing I have never understood, and maybe never will, is why already rich people choose to take risks with the law for more money.

I'm considering a buy strategy for stocks I've "missed" but want to own: Spotify and Uber. A slow-drip DCA. Buy a thousand dollars a week for a year. This would eliminate volatility while building up the positions into sizable holdings over time. Thoughts?

@dividendology In my previous experience with Empower, they didn't know how my cash was allocated; and anybody looking at the account types and names could tell instantly. I expect their number is low.
