@drdamoeyes One last thought.. I see you are an opthalmologist. The digital version - eRedbook - as yet doesn't support opthalmology data (neither does paper) but could. Would be happy to talk to you about that too.

@jessRmorley @katejb @drdamoeyes Hi Jess, the NHS 5 year plan promised digital red books to everyone at the start of 2023. Reality is we are ready with the digital tool but struggling to make the promise happen due to changes in NHS England and child health re data and commissioning.

@drdamoeyes We (Sitekit) have been pushing for eRedbook for 8 years now as we really believe in it! The problems for us with going national via NHS England have been significant. Namely Data availability, and Commissioning models. Happy to give more info - we want access for all! (3/4)

I am 32 years old and I have just asked my mum if I am vaccinated against Polio.

@HermioneMidwife @TheDigitalNaomi Thank you @Hermione, every parent of children aged 0-5 in London with a connected eRedbook can receive immunisations, screening results and more, however immunisations are dependent on GP’s submitting the data centrally.

@TheDigitalNaomi In future children with an @eRedbook will have access to their digital child health records and won’t have to ask their parents. They can look it up themselves easily. (That said vaccinations are not flowing from my gp to the eRedbook for my baby so I’m having to manually enter)
