At a plenary session of the Russian parliament, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko urged women to give birth as early as possible, rather than pursuing education and building a career: "A belief has been formed that a woman should first get an education, make a career, and then only worry about childbearing. The minister believes that postponing childbirth is a "vicious practice" that allegedly causes infertility and miscarriage. Therefore, Murashko believes it is necessary to tell a woman that the earlier she gives birth, "the better for [her] health, for the health of her children and career in the long run." Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Health said that by the end of the year, it is necessary to withdraw emergency abortion drugs from free sale. He suggested putting these drugs on quantitative accounting.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said Russia threatened him with war if Putin was detained on an International Criminal Court warrant.
