Respite in the city. A twilight walk with sounds of birds settling down on trees and water at #edgbastonreservoir. Despite requirements to protect this #LNR, Developers set sights to illuminate the #reservoir at night with a proposed waterside development on the opposite side.

Last night I accepted the City of Birmingham Medal for my late husband, Benjamin Zephaniah — the first recipient He would say this medal is for everyone who dares to think, dream, speak the truth, and be themselves Birmingham — “mix up race, mix up, but mostly mixed with glee.”

A chilly walk after a snowfall in the night. The sky was glorious, lighting up the water and the flocks of birds all settling on the water and margins It feels so calm yet, what impact will the proposed housing development have here at the #edgbastonreservoir Nature Reserve?

The #VisMig @highburypark yesterday was loved, by those who braved the weather, so much that a 2026 programme is being planned! 28 bird species including 317 Wood Pigeon, 14 Redwing, 13 Chaffinch, 9 Meadow Pipit, 6 Fieldfare, Redpoll & a “Grey Goose” (high south, probable Bean)
