The Irony is brutal.
When over 160 girls were slaughtered in their school, it didn't bring a human dimension. It certainly didn't rise to a solemn moment.
Some lives, it seems, are more human than others. Some deaths more worthy of our (western) grief. Some victims more deserving of a name, a face, a moment of solemnity on television.
As sad as it seems, this is a mirror of the world today and what it reflects is deeply uncomfortable.
