You might’ve seen him on the subway — with a dog on his back! Bryan Reisberg carries adoptable dogs around New York City so people can meet them right where they are. Each ride turns into an on-the-spot meet-and-greet, giving shelter dogs a chance to connect with potential adopters beyond the kennel. On this day, the dog of the ride was Misty, a joyful pup from Best Friends Animal Society who soaked up the attention everywhere they went. Brian’s goal is simple: bring dogs into the world so the right people can find them

🫂🥹🌿My fatigue and pain remains, my dear ones, but I wanted to wish you all a very happy Friday and send my love to you and your wonderful families.. I think I am getting better, slowly, but I will go to see a doctor if it still persists.. My children have taken over looking after the cats in our shelter and I go to visit the kittens whenever I can, because they are so wonderful and it is a miracle to see them grow. My children are doing a wonderful job with the animals, my dear ones, I am so glad that they have taken so well to the responsibilities of looking after them. I still can't find affordable dog food to buy for our wonderful puppy Lisa, but she seems content with the cats food for now. Once I feel better I hope to clean out the shelter to help deal with the insects that are hounding us all, and I hope to give treatments to any of the animals who need them. These small plans are what gives me a little bit of strength through these painful days and gives me something to focus on. At night there is still random shots nearby, and I keep thinking about the families living in tents and how vulnerable they are. If bullets can shoot through our walls and windows and still cause so much damage, can you imagine how it must feel to only have the protection of a thin layer of fabric? Our friends deserve much better, my dear friends, and I hope that we will be able to give them a good month. They don't see relief in the winter or the summer; now that the rain has gone they must deal with the difficult heat and the massive swarms of insects. This month hopefully we will buy insect spray for the children in the camp, my dear ones. I would be so happy to give them a greater amount this month, they deserve the basic conditions to survive at the very least, and there are expensive medication bills that it would be wonderful to pay. I know we ask a lot of you, my dear ones, but please know how grateful I am to you.
