COUNTY ASSEMBLY PASSES NEW PEACE BUILDING LAW County Assembly, during its morning sitting today, unanimously passed Elgeyo/Marakwet Peace Building and Conflict Management Bill, 2025 into law, now known as The Elgeyo/Marakwet Peace Building and Conflict Management Act, 2026.

Elgeyo/Marakwet County Assembly Approves Budget Estimates for FY 2025/2026. The Elgeyo/Marakwet County Assembly has today approved the County Government’s Budget Estimates for the Financial Year 2025/2026, amounting to Kshs 8,849,613,252.

Assembly Joint Committees of Finance & Economic Planning and Budget & Appropriations have initiated a week-long Public Participation exercise across the 20 wards to validate The Elgeyo/Marakwet County Annual Development Plan (ADP) 2025/2026 and The Elgeyo/Marakwet (CFSP) .

4th day of the validation exercise for the Elgeyo/Marakwet County Annual Development Plan (ADP) 2025/2026 & County Fiscal Strategy Paper 2025. Finance & Economic Planning and Budget & Appropriations Committees engaged residents of Metkei,Kabiemit,Chepkorio &Soy North Wards.

Finance & Economic Planning and Budget & Appropriations Committees visited Emsoo,Cherang’any/Chebororwa, Moiben/Kuserwo & Soy South Wards as part of the ongoing public participation exercise. The validation of Elgeyo/Marakwet County’s Annual Development ADP) 2025/2026 & CFSP 2025
