@gummibear737 Time will ultimately determine whether Iran is successfully avoiding the blockade or not. Many people have claimed that the blockade puts the regime in an existential crisis. That within 30 days Iran’s storage would be full and they would have to shut down wells.

@Osint613 Ugh… this sounds almost as delusional as the propaganda from the IRGC about their “victorious defense.” If Iran actually wanted the Strait open, they could have opened it during the ceasefire, when they said they would, prior to the blockade.

Latest Trump post: Iran doesn't want the Strait of Hormuz closed, they want it open so they can make $500 Million Dollars a day (which is, therefore, what they are losing if it is closed!). They only say they want it closed because I have it totally BLOCKADED (CLOSED!), so they merely want to "save face." People approached me four days ago, saying, "Sir, Iran wants to open up the Strait, immediately." @nickshep7777 @Osint613 I agree the blockade is hurting Iran, although there’s some fog-of-war regarding whether Iran actually managed to get over two dozen ships through. But Iran seems to be calculating that Trump wants this to end more than they are willing to suffer economically.

@_MossadHoneyp0t @Osinttechnical Trump has allowed the regime to violate this and completely overlook it. That is, in itself , a signal of weakness. Combined with his repeated bluffs, he’s sending very strong signals to the Iranians that he is more desperate for a deal than they are.

Trump says that Iran's government is "fractured," adds that he is extending the ceasefire indefinitely until Iran presents a "unified proposal".

Not sure I understand the point of this. So celebrities, being at greater risk of being deepfaked, aren’t sure whether they actually did the thing in the video, so we need to give them access to a tool to help them decide whether it’s actually themselves or not?

@Osint613 Statements like this highlight just how deep the mistrust runs between both sides. But shutting the door completely only guarantees escalation over progress. At some point, someone has to move first.
