#FAUCETFREAKS uses normal maps with its textures to make them look in tip-top shape. can't run those, though? well, we've got low quality mode for that! (examples are high & low quality mode, both running at graphics quality 1)

(low quality mode scraps the normal maps in favor of pre-drawn lighting on textures, which is less pretty but much more low-end friendly!)

@Oblivibun funnily enough i think the non-character elements were the part i liked most. these all look in-style to me and they don't fall in the uncanny valley i appreciate the work put in there

@Oblivibun i think Cup De Grace was a huge technical upgrade, but the stylistic decisions behind it were a misstep. it flip-flops between following the cuphead style and the style of the source games, the designs are sometimes uncanny, and tweens are used in a way too smooth for the art

@WarioWareGames i think it would be fun if eggman's shield had a lower cooldown after using it to block a tripwire mine. he's already a smart guy, using the shield to disarm mines aligns with that AND gives him something to do other than stand around or get aggro'd
