Thank you for the shoutout! All the credit goes to our players because they have continued to get better every week and they brought their best when we needed it. I love coaching these kids and excited we get another week to do it #WeRiseTogether

Morton’s Defensive Coordinator Trevor Bulmer is the Assistant Coach of the week. The Indians knocked off Lockney 31-22 to win the Bi-District Trophy. Bulmer’s defense forces 3 turnovers (2 INTs, 1 Fumble) vs Lockney Thursday. Lockney was 0-9 on 3rd down Congrats

When it comes to DB evals, big difference between being opportunistic or an actual playmaker. Guys who put themselves in good position and ball seems to find them on tipped & errant throws have value. But guys who anticipate & break on ball are more valuable—and harder to find.

Watched an old Saban clinic talk this morning Among several gems, this really stood out 💎 As a former teacher, this definitely applies to the classroom as well!

Born to slave parents in Berkley, Virginia in 1868, William Henry Lewis worked to pay for his education. He graduated from Amherst College in Massachusetts where he became one of the first Black men to play collegiate football, serving as team captain in 1890 and 1891.

My hope is that you can apply all this to the failures in your life that are yet to come. Every failure is a reset point. It forces accountability. It reminds us all to be humble.

The most important thing to remember is that failure can actually set you up for success. Small failures along the way, with lessons learned, help you keep moving. People who win all the time think they have all the answers. That’s actually the most dangerous place to be.

Lastly, recognize that this is a temporary state. Failures today can be part of victories tomorrow. Just because you have the plan to win everything, there’s always a bigger vision you might not be able to see.

Once you’ve fully reflected about it, don’t just keep things in your head. This part is crucial. Write. It. Down. Keep a record of what happened and what you learned. Look back on those notes when you are in similar situations.
