49th Anniversary of St. Janani Luwum- Chief guest was H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni accompanied by the First Lady Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni in Mucwini, Kitgum District. This commemoration was organised by the Directorate for Ethics & Integrity and the Church of Uganda.

Foot pilgrims originating from the Lango region are currently at Pajule, making their way to Kitgum district for the commemoration of the Janani Luwumu's 49th anniversary, which is set to take place on Monday, February 16th. @ChurchofUganda_ @ethicsug @GovUganda

The Directorate for Ethics and Integrity held a swearing-in ceremony for newly appointed Ethics Officers and a Legal Officer, who took the Official Oath and Oath of Secrecy.

The Leadership Code Tribunal (LCT) Members sworn in today at the Supreme Court Dr. Roselyn Karugonjo-Segawa (Chairperson), Dr. Anthony Conrad Kaweesi Kakooza (Deputy Chairperson), Ms. Jane Okelowange (Member) Mr. Didas Bakunzi Mufasha (Member) and Ms. Annette Karungi (Member).

Meeting Update: Preparations for the 49th Commemoration of St. Janani Luwum Following a consultative meeting with ACRA, the Heads of the Working Committee of the LOC convened to review the progress of the preparations for the 49th commemoration of St. Janani Luwum.

Mussolini Tokwinyi Thomas is preparing to undertake a pilgrimage from Kampala to Wi-gweng (final resting place for St. Janani Luwum) in Kitgum District. The journey is scheduled to begin on 18 January 2026, leading up to the commemoration of St. Janani Luwum Day.

The Minister for Ethics and Integrity presented a paper at the Conference of States Parties to the UN Convention Against Corruption in Doha, Qatar. She highlighted key milestones and lessons from Uganda’s fight against corruption at the supreme decision-making forum of UNCAC.

We held a consultative meeting on the development of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2025–2030. The session was attended by the State Attorney, Her Worship the Magistrate, CID, and other key stakeholders. Tomorrow, we continue engagements with another team in Arua City.

Workshop on simplifying the Uganda CIAS now underway, led by Prof. Soh Kee Hean, Associate Professor, Singapore University of Social Sciences. IFPs and Internal Auditors are discussing practical ways to simplify CIAS and strengthen integrity systems across MDAs. #Ethics #corrupt
