@itzWolfyy_ Even people who can afford their own healthcare will be affected by increased premiums and co-pays. We know these insurance companies aren't going to eat any costs. Idk, I'm no expert. It just seems to me that its not in the best interests of the American people

@evilmunkey42 Yea its a agenda to spend less federal resources to Healthcare in general, expecting Americans to be on Healthcare plans through corporations to minimize federal expenses through state. The problem is low income people who need real help. It hurts them the most of course.

Democrats will say this is false but the funding "off record" funds states to apply to the Medicare cost of illegals that make up a vast majority of ER related care due to their ineligiblility to get Medicare. Btw its about 2 billion yearly in just illegals in ER care.

@itzWolfyy_ So they cut healthcare spending by almost half? That doesn't really follow for me since the majority of people that will be effected by the cuts will be citizens.

@evilmunkey42 Correct. Then those funds go into certain avenues. Basically Republicans are saying "No, you don't need that much because we are dealing with our immigration issue which takes 2 billion yearly nationally."

@evilmunkey42 I bleed and sweated shoulder to shoulder with lots of found to be illegals in my career and I love them to death but rules are just that. Without it, we have chaos.

@itzWolfyy_ It was 2.3 Trillion in fiscal year 2024 to my understanding. Republicans are, from what I'm reading, trying to cut that by about 800 billion. The way I understand it to work, is that hospitals receive a mixture of federal and state funds as part of their emergency reimbursement

@evilmunkey42 If you strip away the political talk, what happens on the ground is 14 trillion is allocated to healthcare yes? Then through Federal funding, Democratic states expand their programs into ER care offsetting the financial deficit the hospital eats for undocumented persons.

@itzWolfyy_ According to what I'm reading, emergency reimbursement for ER care used by illegal immigrants makes up about .4% of Medicaid spending.
