It's always been puzzling to me the idea that ghosts would gain like extra knowledge or wisdom after death. Like "oh yes my great grandfather's spirit advises me" on what? Mid 20th century car maintenance? Forgotten varieties of racism?

@codinghorror I got the S95B when I moved and I’m very happy with it. It performs much better in bright rooms than my LG OLED does.

The biggest recent event is the Samsung S95B, which everyone raves about. Apparently it is the first delivered batch of their next-gen display tech, and quite impressive? It was enough to convince me to upgrade. reviewed.com/televisions/co…

Gave away my old original OLED TV set, the 2016 LG 55E6P, to a friend. I had totally forgotten it was *also* a 3D TV set! I quickly bundled up and included all the 3D Blu-Rays and the glasses. May your blacks always be perfectly black, old friend. 😎🍿

@rem I honestly loved Seveneves, but I felt like it should have been 2 or maybe 3 books to break it up. My advice is to give it up though. Life's too short to force yourself to slog through something you don't enjoy.
