Alors que des milliers de jeunes séjournent encore dans nos prisons pour leurs opinions politiques ; alors que les citoyens qui ont fortement exprimé leur aspiration au changement le 12 octobre dernier, attendent la tenue des élections locales pour désigner de nouveaux représentants ; alors que l’économie nationale s’effondre sous le poids d’une gouvernance opaque, corrompue et irresponsable, LA SOUVERAINETÉ DU PEUPLE VA DE NOUVEAU ÊTRE VIOLÉE ! CE JOUR, DANS LE PALAIS DU PEUPLE, des "élus" supposés protéger nos droits et les fondements de la République, s’apprêtent à consacrer la Monarchie, en offrant au Président de la République actuel le pouvoir de prolonger de manière illimitée les mandats des élus locaux, mais surtout de désigner de manière unilatérale son successeur à la tête de l’État ! PEUPLE CAMEROUNAIS, notre avenir ne peut se décider dans l’ombre, par des institutions en fin de mandat ! Your body has an enzyme that can stop your cells from aging. You produce it as an embryo, and then your body shuts it off. On purpose. Because if your cells kept using it, they’d never stop dividing, and that’s literally what cancer is. About 85% of human cancers work by switching this enzyme back on. Lobsters never switch it off. Ever. They produce this thing, telomerase, in every single organ their entire lives. A 1998 lab study found it running in their liver, their heart, their muscles, everywhere. What it does is simple: every time a cell copies itself, the tips of your DNA fray a little, like the ends of a shoelace losing its plastic cap. Telomerase rebuilds those caps. In your body, most cells can’t do that, so they wear down and eventually die. That’s aging. Lobster cells just… keep going. And here’s the part that messes with me. They actually get more fertile as they age. A 1-pound female carries about 8,000 eggs. A 9-pound female can carry over 100,000. The grandmother in this video is hauling 70,000–80,000 eggs. In almost every other animal, reproduction slows down and stops as the body breaks down. Lobsters flip that completely. The older they get, the more babies they can have. They do still die. Just not from aging. Lobsters grow by cracking out of their entire shell and building a new one from scratch. Imagine doing that every year or two, and each time it costs more energy because you’re bigger. Eventually the molt itself is what kills them. Exhaustion. Or infection while the new shell is still soft. The oldest one anyone’s found, a 20-pound male named George, was about 140 years old when he got pulled up off Newfoundland in 2008. PETA got involved, and he was dropped back into the water near Kennebunkport, Maine. This female getting released isn’t random feel-good content, either. Maine has made it illegal to keep egg-bearing females since 1872. When a fisherman catches one, he cuts a V-shaped notch into her tail flipper before tossing her back. That notch makes her permanently off-limits, even years later when she’s caught again without visible eggs. A 2018 study found that V-notched females produce 9 times more eggs over their lifetime than unmarked ones. And the survival odds for lobster babies are terrible: out of every 50,000 eggs, maybe 2 make it to a size you could legally catch. One big, old, egg-loaded female like this one is worth more to the species than thousands of younger lobsters combined.

Le choix n'était pas entre un bon contrat et un mauvais contrat. En 2018, c'était entre un barrage avec des conditions de banquier (take or pay, 35 ans) et pas de barrage du tout. Sans Nachtigal,pas de 420 MW supplémentaires, pas d'industrie,pas d'espoir de sortir des délestages.

Agree. Dangote is fighting because they want to destroy his investment. He has fought many battles on this refining business. 1. Obasanjo sold the Port Harcourt refinery to him. NNPC staff protested. 2. YarAdua took back the refinery from him 3. Dangote spent $20 billion of his own money to build a brand new refinery. 4. Then, this same NMDSRA issued a statement that Dangote's refined products were sub-standard. This was later proven to be false. 5. Then NNPC refused to supply him crude oil. He turned to the USA to source his crude oil and continues to import from them till this day. 6. Then PBAT ordered NNPC to start supplying him crude oil and to accept naira payment. NNPC was unhappy. 7. Suddenly, NUPENG and PENGASSEN ganged up, claiming Dangote is a monopolist, because he is refusing them the old practice of toll collection of N5m per truck while loading products. 8. Dangote called their bluff and decided to buy his own CNG tankers, 2000 of them. 9. NUPENG and PENGASSEN then declared a strike action demanding that Dangote staff must be allowed to join their union. 10. Smelling a rat, Dangote asked all staff to indicate if they wanted to join PENGASSEN. 800 staff signed. Dangote sacked them all, claiming 22 incidents of sabotage detected in the refinery, including unexplained fire incidents. 11. NUPENG and PENGASSEN again went on strike. 12. NASS intervened and begged Dangote to rehire the 800 staff. Dangote took the staff back, but sent them to cement factories, far away from his $20 billion refinery. 13. Today, Dangote's refinery is working producing PMS, diesel, aviation fluid, fertilizers etc. He is exporting to USA, Asia and other African countries, earning FOREX. 14. Yet, Ahmed Farouk insists on spending our inadequate FOREX earnings to import PMS in order to keep refineries in Europe in business. Now we know why this is so. Obviously, he is receiving kick backs. He will rather do that than support a local investment. If this is not economic sabotage, what is it? 15. Clearly, Dangote and Bua who are locked in a healthy competition are contributing to our economic renaissance. Saboteurs like Ahmed Farouk must be stopped. They are spending our FOREX while Dangote is generating FOREX for the country. 16. May God deliver this country from cankerworms.🤔 ~ Bello Isiaka

La CEDEAO réduit les taxes sur les billets d'avion. Avec la libre circulation déjà en vigueur depuis longtemps, ça devrait donner un boost au trafic aérien dans la région. Si la CEMAC réagit, ce sera plutôt pour augmenter les taxes.

Comment peut-on arriver à ce niveau de méchanceté? Où la vie humaine n'a plus aucune valeur. Confisquer l'équipement médical, garder un malade, sans raison, pendant des semaines malgré les alertes des avocats, sa famille... Le voir partir à feu, sans s'émouvoir. C'est une perte vraiment difficile à accepter. Nous sommes gouvernés par des monstres. On ne peut que souhaiter le pire à toutes les petites mains qui ont conduit à cette fin.
