Titled “Buck and Doe,” they were created in 1988 as part of artist’s FWM exhibition that presented different stages in an imagined American family’s class progression. These clothes represented the stage of prosperity. How do you feel this piece from 36 years ago resonates today?

Posting this on Black Friday for no real reason... These outfits are constructed entirely of U.S. one-dollar bills—450 of them to be exact. “As did people in ancient cultures, we wear our wealth,” the artist Ken Dawson Little observes.
