When you checkout my account if you tap the shield next to Account based in United States it says I may be using a VPN.
@RstysGrl asked what the deal is with VPNs and why do you use one.
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) allows you to create a direct connection to a server encrypting your traffic and blocking hackers and thieves out of your transactions.
I always use NORDVPN when I am making any kind of financial transaction. Sometimes I forget to disable the VPN and it may show a different location than my home. I assure you I live in Texas, near San Antonio.
I am very concerned about X allowing especially liberal non-US accounts to spew their misinformation and propaganda to skew public opinion.
I checked out one Australian account last week and figured out it is repeating propaganda put out by a huge liberal account in the US that in my opinion is using questionable methods to manipulate their posts on X.
I am beginning to think that X is supporting accounts foreign and domestic that exist to skew public opinion to manipulate free and fair elections.
Foreign accounts should be clearly identified so we can separate US opinion from German, or Australian propaganda.
