@Morgan_Scape the group's collective decisions. This is pretty consistent throughout the story, I do think the writing of TLOK isn't as strong as ATLA, but the things that made ATLA great show up all the time in TLOK- I think this bit of avatar characterization is a nice bit of continuity.

I actually thought this was a nice moment of writing; Aang is shown to be equally impatient when training is more about mental ideas than the physicality of bending- when training with Jeong-Jeong he throws similar tantrums and ends up burning Katara- it's nice characterization

What happened to this again?… Oh yeah the AVATAR had an emotional break down and during which she burns to the ground. Ancient air nomad artifact gone because Korra can’t regulate her emotions. Koh folds Korra first attempt zero difficulty

@Morgan_Scape Well no, Katara (at that point in the story), wasn't Aang's teacher- but Tenzin is Korra's. Jeong-Jeong (who was teaching Aang) actually does apologize, admitting he should have gone with his gut that Aang wasn't ready!
