A hitter having more extension means their bat head in the zone longer, which allows for more contact points & a greater margin for error. Chas Pippitt shows how players can work on improving their extension with a "tool" every coach already has! 🔗 bit.ly/3izKGu5

The Open Stance Tee Drill is GREAT for hitters who struggle with upper body direction in their swing. Move the tee up down, in & out. Start by taking 5 swings at each pitch location, for around 30-45 swings total. MORE: bit.ly/2RsSYZA

The double play pivot at shortstop is an easy two-step: right foot on the base, left foot to the ball. With an accurate feed from the second baseman, a one-handed catch can effectively cut down the distance on the throw to first by a couple feet. #STdrills

Back to my drill work. This drill is great for not dropping the back shoulder. This teaches what my dad says is an old school swing. No need for launch angle when your hitting line drive rips. @O3jfrye @notgaetti #shegone haha, can I join this hash tag club?

Looking for a way to pattern the lower half during quartine? 2lb medball throw variations are a good start. Helps to promote efficient lower half patterns. Low stress on the arm. Going through some separation throws here, focusing on front leg brace from full rotation of hips.
