Age yourself by naming an NFL running back you grew up watching. I'll start, Priest Holmes.

@ESPNNFL @tthasselbeck Watson has been absolutely terrible on the field since Browns got him. Decision making and performance total ass. Sanders had some big-time highlights in 7 games with the worst offensive line in football. Going 3-4 while running for his life just about every play shows promise.

@js9inningsmedia The strike zone is armpits to top of knees. Period. It's high time to calibrate that into the ABS and umpires to call it correctly.

@thedawgspodcast Another shrewd move that showcases Tom Brady's continuing brilliant leadership and influence since he came in the door for the Raiders. Hey Browns, watch Tom Brady and see what an ACTUAL smartest guy in the room looks like!!

Nick Wright blasts the Browns’ continued faith in Deshaun Watson, warning their refusal to move on could cost them yet another season. "I say this as respectfully as I can: Jimmy Haslam is a menace that just causes chaos on teams on which he has influence and ownership. Deshaun Watson, in the last five years, among 47 quarterbacks whos started 19 games, he's basically the second- or third-worst in everything. He's somewhere from 39th to 46th. I don’t think he has a great chance to be the starter. I don’t think he’s a good player anymore. I don’t think all of a sudden he’s going to be the answer, and I think that the Cleveland Browns not realizing what the sunk-cost fallacy is has cost them multiple seasons. If they ask Todd Monken to flirt with this insane idea that maybe Deshaun will be good, it will cost them this season as well." (via @FTFonFS1)

"I understand Deshaun Watson is gonna be there. I understand they're paying him either way. I just don't want to see it. 2020 was his last good season. I don't understand how you can possibly count on him to do anything. I'd much rather see Shedeur Sanders." 📞@MylesASimmons wants NO part of Deshaun Watson seeing the field this season

"You have to not think of him as a running back... The offense doesn't have to be great for him to sing. Monken is a guy who thrives on getting the ball in space. He's a guy who can score points with minimal talent around him." 🚨@LanceReisland pitches Jerimiyah Love to @KenCarman for the Browns at No. 6

The narrative around the quarterback competition for the Browns always seems to come back to what’s fair. Last year, people say things weren’t fair and that some guys didn’t get equal chances, and maybe there’s some truth to that, but football isn’t fair and neither is life, and nobody in that locker room cares about fair. When you get your opportunity, you have to produce, it’s that simple. Coaches don’t sit players because they dislike them or want to hold them back, they play the guy who gives them the best chance to win. If you’re not on the field, it’s because someone in front of you is better right now. In my experience, you’re either proving the coach right or proving him wrong every single day, there is no middle ground and nobody is getting slept on at this level because the tape tells the truth. If you want reps, earn them, if you want the job, take it, because fair doesn’t exist in football, production does. #Browns

Mason Cameron of PFF names the Cleveland Browns as the best landing spot for free agent WR Jauan Jennings, citing the team’s urgent need for a proven pass-catcher after finishing last in receiving grade in 2025. "The Browns’ attention during the first phase of free agency was understandably centered on the offensive line. Now, the focus should turn to the receiver room. Expectations are for Cleveland to explore pass-catching options with one of its two first-round draft picks, potentially landing the team Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon or Jordyn Tyson. But the room could use more established options to reinforce a receiver group that finished last in the NFL in PFF receiving grade (56.4) in 2025. Of the Browns’ current receivers, only Jerry Jeudy caught more than 25 passes and generated more than 1.0 yards per route run last season. Jennings would amplify the group as an efficient possession receiver, having generated more yards per route run (1.35) than any receiver on the roster and having hauled in more contested catches (19) than the entire receiving corps combined (18) last season."
