@floatyourboat97 I feel like using substance abuse as a ‘red herring’ would be more insensitive than making a genuine effort at telling a meaningful story around it

maybe i’m being overly naive but we only saw him take one dose, they deliberately rotated the bottle so we couldn’t see the label, and the network didn’t put the crisis hotline at the beginning/end of the episode like they normally would. maybe it’s a red herring? please?

@grnchickenpox this is what i'm thinking too! multiple rx bottles indicates multiple conditions but the specific one he grabbed from i think was for anxiety/panic attacks

@bobbynashcrier i think this is different from hen. i think buck has already seen a doctor and has a diagnosis/diagnoses, hence the multiple rx bottles. i think he's managing it alone bc he doesn't want people to worry, but i don't think he's brushing it under the rug like hen did

@KoriMarsh118 him hiding his injuries/diagnoses seems more plausible to me than him hiding a drug addiction. esp with everything going on with hen he probably feels like he doesn't want other people to worry about him etc.

@floatyourboat97 It’s totally possible he’s abusing. But I can also see him hiding the need for medication. He’s trying to make light of what happened and doesn’t want everyone to worry. I guess we’ll see

@markleeismyult i didn't really think there was a lot of emphasis on it! to me, emphasis would be multiple scenes of him taking pills/trying to hide it, rather than just this one that was <10 seconds. this feels very similar to when they made us think chris was "kidnapped"

@floatyourboat97 Idk the whole emphasis on it in general makes it feel like they are heading down that road , plus earlier this season Buck found Bobby’s sobriety chip what if that was for shadowing?

@BuckarooIs @amorcanis i’m not sure if he’s really hiding an illness in the same way hen was. he couldve already been diagnosed, hence the rx bottles, and is just managing it alone. the tabs look like hydroxyzine, used for short term anxiety relief and would make sense for how many tablets he took
