More than 40 percent of #postdocs leave academia. @TimothyDuignan This statement "Quantum mechanics is not fundamental. Probability theory is." Is quite strange though. QM is an attempt to model reality (observed phenomena). Probability theory is just a mathematical construct (particular case of measure theory). Apples and organges.

write one page every day, and by the end of your PhD you will have enough to finalize your thesis!

📣 now for the good news: I started my first „real“ job today and will work on software solutions for data-driven problems in logistics (and possibly elsewhere). My first impression is really good 🙂. Let’s see how it goes ✌️

📣 Sad news: After 8 incredibly exciting years, I have paused my academic career with the beginning of this year. Tomorrow, I will start a new professional life in industry. Wish me luck! Also, this is not my last tweet as there are some remaining projects in the pipeline 🙂
