👀 Who’s ready for happy hour ✨
If you’re at NVIDIA GTC, come say hello 👋
No talks, no agenda — just good drinks, light bites, great people, and easygoing chats about Nix (or whatever you’re working on!).

A great night during @NVIDIA GTC 🚀
We hosted an evening with @ICCUSA and NVIDIA, bringing together a fantastic group across financial services, AI, and HPC.
Really strong conversations on where AI infrastructure is heading, and what teams are dealing with day to day.
Thanks to everyone who came out! We loved meeting you 🎉

Just in time for @NVIDIA GTC, we’re announcing the Flox CUDA Kickstart Program! 🎉
The program defines a reference architecture for deploying deterministic, reproducible CUDA-accelerated ML/AI environments on NVIDIA GPU infrastructure at scale.
It reflects Flox’s collaboration with NVIDIA and the Nix ecosystem to strengthen the open infrastructure around CUDA and make reproducible AI environments easier to deploy and run at scale.

Most developers picture the process like this:
Plan → Build → Test → Release
But every stage depends on something often overlooked.
That process above is typically described through the SDLC.
𝟭. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻
↳ Define requirements and architecture
𝟮. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱
↳ Implement features and integrate systems
𝟯. 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁
↳ Validate behavior, performance, and reliability
𝟰. 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲
↳ Deploy safely to production
𝟱. 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲
↳ Monitor systems, fix issues, and iterate
But every stage ultimately depends on the same foundation:
a reliable development environment.
𝗜𝗳 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 between developers, CI, and production, teams start seeing:
→ broken CI pipelines
→ onboarding delays
→ dependency conflicts
→ “works on my machine” bugs
That’s why many teams are starting to treat environments as 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗗𝗟𝗖 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, not just a setup step.
Tools like Flox help with this by letting teams define reproducible development environments, so the same setup runs across developers, CI, and production.
Because when environments are reproducible, the SDLC becomes much smoother from build to release.

We’ll be at NVIDIA GTC 2026 and we’d love to see you there!
We’ll be talking about how teams are using Flox to bring reproducibility and control to modern AI stacks; across research, training, and production.
If you’re dealing with:
- Multi-GB OCI images
- “It runs… on this machine” problems
- Painful build → push → pull → test loops
- Promoting the exact eval/validated runtime to production
Come talk to us!
Flox lets you:
- Pin runtime identity to a reviewable, immutable reference
- Promote and roll back environments without rebuilding the world
- Share reproducible GPU stacks across laptops, clusters, Slurm, and Kubernetes/KubeRay
- Generate deterministic SBOMs from an environment’s dependency graph
- Move from image churn to controlled, declarative environment updates
If you’re in GRC, ML research, platform engineering, or production ML, this will resonate!
The Flox team will be there (Ron, Ben, James, Jacquie, Stahnke, Robin, Michael, Bill).
Come say hello! And stay tuned! We’ve got something new to share on Monday 🚀
