@bongbongNA_ i was a pallbearer at my grandmothers funeral years ago. it’s a beautiful thing being able to help carry them to their final resting place. may your grandfather rest in peace brother. ❤️

I found out recently that my grandfather was part of the Underwater Demolition Team (UDT) during his service in the military. All I knew was that he was in the Navy and he was awarded a Purple Heart from an IED in his last deployment. I learned that UDT's were the predecessors to Navy Seals. He never once brought it up to the majority of our family.. we knew that he was patriotic and always saluted him for his service, but never knew he was part of one of the toughest military groups in the world. It's an achievement anyone would be extremely proud of, yet all he did was joke around with everyone constantly, making us laugh and smile every single day. I was chosen to be a pallbearer for his funeral tomorrow, and I'll be forever grateful to have this opportunity to put the final rest to such an honorable man. Hopefully one day I can fill the slightest part of your shoes and be the person you showed all of us. I'll make you proud ❤️
