Religious organisations with NFP status shouldn’t be able to put huge amounts of money into influencing federal elections. As the only Independent on JSCEM, I’m looking forward to uncovering details regarding 3rd party involvement in the 2025 election. theage.com.au/national/i-m-g…

So, not only will there be no audit of Aboriginal funding, the Minister herself will avoid the annual Senate Estimates enquiry for another year. Further, 1254 Aboriginal organisations have failed to file mandatory financial reports. And we wonder where the billions go. Don't ask, don't tell.

Labor and the Greens have voted to shut down Senate Estimates hearings on Indigenous Affairs at a time when outcomes are going backwards. Indigenous Australians deserve accountability for the billions spent in their name, yet Labor and the Greens are running from scrutiny. Youth suicide is up. Incarceration is up. Fewer children are starting school on time. These are shocking results and instead of answering questions, Labor and the Greens have chosen to silence debate. The Albanese Government promised transparency. Yesterday, they proved they are more interested in hiding from scrutiny than delivering for Indigenous Australians.

@ChrisLXXXVI Fantastic foresight to already know their locations before 1788, they could have saved a lot of explorers a lot of time and effort.

33 members of First Nations assembly 22 voted for 11 appointed. Of 45 thousand eligible voters 4.2 thousand actually voted in 2023. There are 5 members of the treaty assembly panel negotiating the treaty. . There are reports they each earn up to $ 380 thousand a year

I see First peoples will have unprecedented powers to hold government accountable in a state where no-one was accountable for Commonwealth Games debacle no-one accountable for lawyer X no-one accountable for Hotel Quarantine and the 800 dead and no-one accountable for red shirts.

Three days in a windowless room debating economic policy? For an economist MP, nothing beats rolling up the sleeves with smart people to figure out how to boost productivity. Thanks to all those who took the time to share their insights #auspol

@ChrisLXXXVI And don’t forget they are looking at scrapping CGT exemption on family home, so if you do try and downsize, whack.

@therealrukshan And then when you do try and downsize this govt will have scrapped CGT on the family home, so you’ll get taxed again.

A research think tank has suggested taxing Australian homeowners for unused bedrooms in their homes. The thesis appears to be that if taxes were applied to unused bedrooms, it would encourage people to move into housing with the appropriate number of rooms or to downsize, thereby freeing up more dwellings to help address the housing shortage. Who are the people coming up with these "ideas", and what should happen to any politician who even considers adopting such measures?

The African teen found not guilty of Doreen teen Declan Cutlers murder due to being too young to know stabbing people is wrong, continues to terrorise Australians. “Declan sustained almost 60 sharp force injuries and more than 30 puncture wounds, with four of those fatal stab wounds to his chest. "Declan suffered a further 66 blunt force injuries caused by stomps and kicks that were rained down upon him," Justice Incerti said. This violent teen has now taken part in shooting, stabbing & assaulting an innocent man with a hammer multiple times. It’s amazing the man survived. The Government believes that these savage barbaric humans that show no remorse belong in our society. DEPORT ALL FOREIGN CRIMINALS. They don’t belong here & are killing Australians.

The ABC: 'AI is stealing dot paintings that are the Intellectual Property of Aboriginal people." Not the ABC: "Aboriginal people have appropriated dot paintings invented by a white art teacher, Geoffrey Bardon, in 1971 and taught to the Pupunya people who adopted it as their own before passing it on as 'traditional Aboriginal art' to multiple tribes and now they're claiming work they stole is being stolen." aboriginal-art-australia.com/aboriginal-art…

Have you ever stopped to look at just how extensively Australians are taxed? These guys absolutely nail it. More than 3 of the 5 days you work (if you work) is money that goes straight to the taxman. It’s time we demanded TAX IS SLASHED and govt trims

We warned you Labor’s roundtable was a front to raise taxes and here they go. In the last 3 years, Labor’s spending spree has added $100b to the national debt, due to hit $1t this year. Chalmers is planning 11 deficits in a row. Now he’s coming after your savings to pay for it.
