People often forget that the first non-Mercedes driver to qualify on pole in 2020 was actually Lance Stroll.

I might have offended many people with this post, but I am sure Brundle thinks he is more important to F1 than Max. This whole “Max is thinking about retiring” thing isn’t new and doesn’t really need to be asked every single week until there’s some substantive change, but hacky journalists keep asking because it generates clicks. The real problem is that a bunch of “journalists/pundits” in F1 are just fishing for soundbites to create stories. The UK media obviously loves the news about him retiring ASAP, because it means there will be more chances for all the UK drivers on the grid. So don’t get offended, I’ve got no disrespect for Martin Brundle’s F1 career as a driver, but he needs to come out of this main character syndrome.
