The Flipnote inspired web app is ready for it's alpha release. Just need to get some hosting related things sorted, then it's time to let it loose.

@geordenwhitman It's just shameful that those studios are unresponsive. Port by the Sea deserves better, and will see it's time to shine.

I wont lie, reaching out to multiple studio contacts on just pitching Port and getting radio silence is a bit disheartening after spending so long making it. I know the industry is in a slump but it just kinda reads as a slap to the face and really makes me question this industry

@Glace_cakes Looking through the source code, it looks like there will be future codes that will link to Youtube videos, Vimeo videos, and Google Maps coordinates.

All major features planned for Alpha build are done. All major bugs are fixed. It's the final polish round this week. Releasing a link to my Flipnote Studio inspired website available on PC and mobile next week.

The app is starting to feel like the classic!

30 bug fixes this week, also added last minute Flipnote style brushes and a 2nd layer. Fixing the last of the bugs now, and improving the UI a bit. I hope to have a link to the app ready by the end of the month :)

I have a live site set up for my Flipnote Studio inspired web app. Everything seems to work as intended. I'm doing some final cleanup on the app, and will be pin a post with the link to the first alpha build when ready.

@FollowTheFunDev Solved this by adding a tolerance variable. The default HTML canvas brush has AA hard baked into the brush, tried so many ways to get rid of it. The easiest way to not deal with the default brush is to make a custom brush, and control each pixel placed.

@savvy_frog What was your solution? Expand final fills shape by a couple pixels? You might also be able to solve this by storing the canvas without AA, and adding AA in post

I was tempted to not include a fill bucket tool in the alpha release because of this. But managed to find a way to fill completely without this seam! I never thought making a fill tool would be so frustrating.

Feature creep is real. Have to come to terms that not every feature I want will be available in the first alpha build. Things like Resolution and Layers may have to wait for the next update. They take a lot to get working as expected.

This may be a tall order for the internet, but does anyone know of a contact for Netflix or Amazon animation services? We are doing our best to reach out to places for pitch inquiries with Port but haven't had much luck. DMs are open. Any help is appreciated!
