Manchester United could win FIFTY titles, but they will always be the Rolling Stones of Football. Good…just not ‘quite’ that band from Liverpool.

She's half-Romanian/half-Chinese whose parents moved to the UK to work when she was two. Had you “taken back control” to stop foreigners “stealing our jobs” 16 years ago she wouldn't be British and you'd need another bandwagon you shameless clown

Well done @EmmaRaducanu for a brilliant win at the #USOpen. The whole country will be cheering you on in the final.

One is punished for speaking the truth to power, in step with the majority of opinion in the country. The other acts as the (paid by us) assistant/PR to that manifestly corrupt power. Nothing. The treatment of those women tells us everything about the BBC.
Minnie Driver TICKLESS WONDER@driverminnie

.@maitlis being punished for speaking truth to 'power' by a spineless BBC.If you're questioning her impartiality, what about Laura Kuenssberg and her rampant defense of Cummings? 'Emily Maitlis replaced for Newsnight episode after Cummings remarks' theguardian.com/media/2020/may…

There should be no return to work until it is safe to do so. If work cannot be done safely, it should not proceed. People must come before private profit.

Tory MPs are attacking the trade unions for raising concerns about public safety. The UK has already had 30,000+ Coronavirus deaths. If the lockdown is eased in an unsafe way then more could die as a result. The unions are right to put public safety over profit. Solidarity!

Denmark is refusing to give state aid to companies that pay out dividends or are registered in tax havens We should do the same. Let's bailout the 99%, not the 1%.

People often used to use the role of ‘shelf stacker at a supermarket’ as some kind of lowly job, with a sideline suggestion that it was of little merit. Oh how times change. The realisation that ‘status’ is an unnecessary construct, is one possible benefit of these strange times

Those experts who told us Zero Hours Contracts were a good thing because they offered the worker ‘flexibility’ are a little quiet now. When this is over can we resolve to fix this perverse way of hiring workers?

Anyone want to tell me how Jamie Oliver got the Channel 4 gig when we all know Jack Monroe is the true people's food champion. A modern day hero, stepping up, helping thousands, often the poorest, just when needed. ❤️

The government's measures would leave five million self-employed and gig economy workers with just £94.25 a week sick pay. This is simply not enough. Those without a fixed wage must not be left to suffer.

Is anybody else watching Jamie Oliver showing us how to cook frugally and slack jawed he's using bacon, olives and parmesan? I'd love to be able to buy those. The shop shelves are bare. Where's @BootstrapCook ?
