So the Supreme Court of 2021 takes the route of the Court in the 1890s, allowing severe limitations to the right to vote. People, we know where this leads. See Justice Deferred! @JusticeDeferred #racialjustice

@JusticeDeferred So much of the news today is a consequence of past judicial decisions. See, for one example, the Ku Klux Act of 1871 and its relevance to the Jan insurrection and the bus harassment last October in Texas. @vernonburton1 #racialjustice

I have just re-read MLK's Letter from Birmingham City Jail (1963). Wow! Every word still relevant. Here's one thought: "I had hoped that the white moderate would understand that law and order exist for the purpose of establishing justice..." @JusticeDeferred #racialjustice

Do not worry about "Critical Race Theory." Calling it a name so that people can fear it. Teaching about race relations is very simply telling the whole truth about our history. It DOES NOT teach children to hate our country. Absurd! @JusticeDeferred #racialjustice

So much of the USA today has an interesting history, sometimes horrific, sometimes heroic, sometimes both. Tulsa Massacre; segregated neighborhoods. Did the Supreme Court have anything to do with this? Read and learn. @joelderfner @VernonBurton1

The story of the Tulsa Massacre needs to be told. Truth has to come before reconciliation. Remember renowned historian John Hope Franklin? His father helped the community in the aftermath of this horrendous event. See Chapter 5 of Justice Deferred. @JusticeDeferred

There are 21 military bases in Florida, 18 in Texas, 13 in Georgia, and 7 in Arizona. Maybe the Pentagon should say they're thinking about moving these bases to states that still want to participate in democracy.
