@DrEilidhMaria Have you sailed with them before? I was impressed - and the pool wasn't that bad, most cruise ship pools are small!

@medicalmodelbri @BSmytheee I think it has to be "commenced" which is meant to happen tomorrow but the DHSC press release says UK grads etc "will be prioritised for specialty training posts they apply to this year. The application process is currently underway" which sounds pretty certain.

So the UK graduate prioritisation scheme will come into force in time for August starts for new specialty trainees (who are being interviewed now). Just wonder if its swift adoption signifies anything for the wider talks on residents' pay? Is there a potential deal coming?

@DrLindaDykes Out of all three, BMA have a very useful export button in your account section where you can export a statement for tax purposes.

@sheona_macleod Increased flexibility, increased resource for rostering teams & medical HR, simplification of study leave processes, standardised access to self development time - more than happy to host a visit to show how we're aiming to improve this at @BucksHealthcare

This narrative is harmful and unfair. All the doctors I work with want to make changes to improve the lives of our patients and communities. However, doctors will always stand up for ensuring the safety of patients and that any changes are based on evidence-based practice.

💯% agree with @DaweGemma @wesstreeting @jamesmurray_ldn @RachelReevesMP will need to understand the barriers to doing additional work @UKLabour didn’t make these stupid rules and tax cliffs But it’s in their gift to diagnose the problem, and fix it - and fix a broken NHS 🤞

@goldstone_tony @wesstreeting @jamesmurray_ldn @RachelReevesMP @DrPhilBanfield @trentconsultant @BMA_Pensions Totally agree - I have time and energy to do extra reporting of scans in my spare time but cap the amount that I do because of this

@oldenoughtosay I'm not an O&G, but thought that it was fairly usual for a bump to be bigger for second pregnancy?

@goldstone_tony I only have 2015 scheme and mine is broken too. Suspect it's a problem for all? It's always previously generated figures...

2/ But this doesn't look very encouraging at all! (never been out of the scheme, straightforward member) - TRS has always worked for me [Salary data on the other screens appears to have worked] Hopefully this fix itself... have others been able to access?

1/ So @nhs_pensions were meant to update TRS overnight to 23-24 which *SHOULD* show post rollback service for those affected by McCloud... so far so good on the front screen

despite giving many months' notice. Think the answer to that one was - again - that they needed to sort out a swap. Juniors have little agency over their own lives yet are told they must somehow improve productivity. No wonder many are heading for Oz - wouldn't you? 3/3

The insanity of junior docs' working conditions continues to amaze me. What other professional groups are told they can't take holiday during substantial parts of their rota without doing swaps with colleagues - which they have to arrange? Or find it impossible to take two 1/n

@KateBurkeNHS @KateBurkeNHS massively agree - hero language is one of the biggest challenges for the NHS. We need to treat our colleagues and organisation in a professional and sustainable manner

As an ICU registrar at a big teaching hospital, I could lie down in the doctor's office on a little foam mat on the floor under a desk if the chairs were moved away. One night my consultant, who stayed in for a particularly sick patient, took my spot. I then resolved to quit ICU.

🚨 Call out to @NHSEngland resident doctors 🚨 Please send photos / descriptions of your overnight sleeping arrangements in 🏥 I would like to collate a database of how poor your conditions are. I’ll tag @wesstreeting and @TheBMA so they can improve conditions!
