Well, by Night of Thunder who I consider the best sire among the three and has very good stats at the course and on the all-weather generally. Looking at the race card Karl Burke is in excellent form.. Look at his winners to runners ratio over the last 14 and 28 days (circled left). He also has a good FlatStats rating as they all do (circled right). He's related to winners on the Dam side and has a favourable middle to high draw. Lastly, there's the eye-catching jockey booking of James Doyle who has an excellent record for Burke (although mostly on the Turf). I think all these factors mean he's the one to beat on his second start and is around 9/2 in the market.

As you can see from the screenshot all three have 70+ scores (considered A Grade). My pick from them and for this race is Karl Burke's Midsummer Storm. Why? ...

Third rated is Midsummer Storm for Karl Burke and James Doyle. He's by Night of Thunder. Analysis: '550,000euros (breeze-up) 2yo; 16-5, beaten over 6l into fourth on his 1m course debut 23 days ago; with a top yard and he can be expected to improve with that behind him.'

Second in is Tiger's Nest for James Fanshawe. He's by Hello Youmzain out of a Danehill Dancer mare. Racing Post comment: 'Promising late headway for third on 7f debut in November; should progres'

Why is Karl Burke's Midsummer Storm 9/1 on the exchanges? I really like this later with Doyler booked and Burke is in great form but that drift is a worry when you advise 11/2... 😂
