April is bringing more than just rain…it’s bringing GLCS out from behind the screen and into real-world conversations ☔ We’re hitting the road (and the skies) to connect with the people dealing with the day-to-day reality of moving freight: 📍 MTA Leadership Summit - Falcon Heights, MN 📅 April 14 🌐 Nate Johnson 📍 Cleo Connect - Arlington, TX 📅 April 14-15 🌐 Mike Solarz 📍 National Tank Truck Carriers Annual Conference - Baltimore, MD 📅 April 20-22 🌐 Nate Johnson & Mike Solarz 📍 Broker Carrier Summit - Kansas City, MO 📅 April 26-29 🌐 Robert Bain Different cities. Different conversations. Same focus: listening to what’s working (and what's not working) in trucking and logistics right now. We spend every day in the middle of it: Helping fleets manage their IT, support the systems their teams rely on, and make sure their TMS, ELDs, and back-office tech actually work together (without the headaches). If you’ll be at any of these, let’s connect. Or just come find us and talk shop. We’re always up for a good conversation. And if April showers bring anything, hopefully it’s fewer tech problems 🌧️💻

If your operation depends on people to manually move data… you’re bleeding time and money. And most trucking companies don’t even realize how much. Loads getting re-keyed. Tenders getting missed. Teams chasing answers just to figure out what moved. That’s not a modern system. That’s a workaround. That’s where GLCS + Cleo start to change things. In a recent partner spotlight, Robert Bain sat down with Robyn Hyra to talk about what this looks like in the real world. This is the first in a monthly series where we’re helping demystify the technology behind trucking, while highlighting the partners we trust and work alongside. Cleo connects your ecosystem ➡️ TMS, ELDs, financials, and customer systems—all connected through EDI and API data flows GLCS makes sure it works for your operation ➡️ helping you choose the right technology partners like Cleo, and making sure everything is aligned, implemented, and supported day-to-day What that means: 💠Data flows instead of getting stuck 💠Faster orders, invoices, and payments 💠Less manual work, fewer errors 💠Visibility without chasing multiple systems Because if your data doesn’t move fast, your trucks don’t either. The goal isn’t more technology. It’s technology that actually works together. That’s where GLCS + Cleo fit. 👉 To view the full video and learn more about Cleo, head over to our website: glcs.net/partners

Louisville this week = the entire trucking community, from the expo floor to the parking lot. Nate and Bain are on their way to MATS, where drivers, owner-operators, fleet leaders, and the people supporting them are all in one place. They’ll be on the ground having the conversations that actually matter. What’s working, what’s not, and where things are really headed. If you’re there, don’t miss Nate on the stage with Adam Wingfield and Todd W (Truckstop.com): 🎙️ AI in the Driver’s Seat: What to Let Go to Stay in Control 📅 Thursday, March 26 | 2:15 - 3:00 📍 Conf Rm B104 - ProTalks Theater This isn’t another “AI will change everything” session. It’s a practical conversation about what actually helps, what to question, and how fleets and drivers stay in control as technology keeps evolving. You going to MATS? Let us know. We’ll see you there! #MATS2026

When your TMS and accounting don’t agree… which one do you trust? We worked with an mid-market carrier going through a major back-office shift—new general ledger, new structure, same expectation: don’t slow down operations. The real challenge wasn’t the software. It was making the data actually line up with how the business runs. The outcome: ✔️ Cleaner alignment between ops and finance ✔️ Less internal strain during the transition ✔️ More confidence in the numbers This is where a lot of fleets feel it… systems in place, but still disconnected. If you’re in the middle of a transition (or thinking about one), this will feel familiar. 👉 Worth a quick read: ow.ly/vfPL50YxSZk

AI is driving a lot of the conversation in trucking right now, but it’s not the only thing changing. The conversation is happening in the shop, on the road, and in real time. At the TMC 2026 Annual Meeting, one idea kept coming up: It’s not about adding more tools. It’s about how they actually work together. From AI handling invoices… To faster breakdown response… To fully connected fleet maintenance… And the difference is clear: The fleets that win won’t have the most tech… They’ll know how to use it. 🎥 Watch the full episode on the Driving Forward YouTube channel for more insight on: • Fleet maintenance innovation • AI in real workflows • Telematics + connected assets • What’s worth investing in 👉 Link in Bio

When technology problems show up in trucking operations, most people see headaches. Mark Bugner sees puzzles waiting to be solved. As a Senior Database Administrator and Business Intelligence Advisor at GLCS, he specializes in tackling the kind of complex technology challenges most people wouldn’t even know where to start. What drives him every day isn’t just the technology...it’s the thinking behind it. “I most enjoy the critical thinking through obscure problems. Nobody's ever come up with these problems before. How do I invent a solution and think my way through it?” Mark helps trucking and logistics companies turn their data into something useful. Not just reports, but insights the business can actually act on to make better decisions. One thing most people don’t know about Mark? He’s also a published poet who studied Latin and classical literature. Proof that great problem-solvers sometimes have a creative side too. We’re lucky to have Mark helping fleets solve the technology challenges that keep freight moving every day.

🌪️❄️ Snowstorms and tornadoes couldn’t keep the GLCS team away from the TMC Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting. After a blizzard in Minnesota canceled Nate’s original flight and severe storms rolled through Tennessee, Nate and Susan still made it to join fleet maintenance leaders, technicians, and technology providers focused on what it takes to keep trucks running safely and efficiently. We help fleets support the technology behind those operations — from IT infrastructure and cybersecurity to technology selection, implementations, and the systems connecting maintenance, dispatch, and operations. If you’re at TMC this week, let us know.

Most people think EDI is outdated. But it’s still running a huge portion of modern supply chains. One partner changes their EDI requirements… and suddenly integrations across your supply chain start failing. On the Driving Forward Podcast, Nate Johnson talks with Grace Sharkey from Orderful about why this still happens in modern logistics. APIs are helping modernize EDI infrastructure. But when mappings break, the domino effect across connected systems is still very real. And that’s only part of the conversation. In the full episode they also unpack: • Whether today’s freight market is exposing real carrier partnerships • If FreightTech is moving toward plug-and-play systems • How AI may reshape freight broker roles • And what a 96¢ fuel spike says about freight volatility ▶️ Watch the full Driving Forward Podcast episode to hear the full discussion. Sometimes the best moments at industry conferences aren’t just the panels. They’re the conversations in between. 🚚At the 2026 Truckload Carriers Association Annual Conference, Nate Johnson sat down with leaders from across trucking to talk technology, operations, and where freight may be heading next. But before the deep conversations start… There are always a few introductions - and a few bloopers along the way. Here’s a quick behind-the-scenes look from the Driving Forward Podcast recording at TCA. ▶️ Watch the full episode to hear the full conversations with leaders from across trucking, technology, and fleet operations. Another Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) Annual Convention is in the books, and once again, it reminded us why this is one of our favorite events of the year. From the first session to the final banquet honoring the Professional Drivers of the Year, the theme of this year’s event, "Powering Through Disruption," showed up in nearly every conversation. A few takeaways that stood out: 🔸 Culture matters more than ever. Especially when it comes to extending it beyond the office and out to drivers on the road. 🔸 Growth doesn’t always mean more trucks. Many fleets talked about focusing on profitability, efficiency, and operational discipline rather than adding capacity too quickly. As one insight shared during the sessions put it: if you can’t make money at 10 trucks, you won’t make money at 100. 🔸 There’s cautious optimism in the market. Fleets are starting to see signs of improvement and are thinking about the future again, even as they remain disciplined about how they grow. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the GLCS booth and to the guests who joined us to record the Driving Forward Podcast. The conversations were thoughtful and a reflection of what fleets are navigating right now. Here is a link to YouTube in case you missed it: ow.ly/Ye8U50YpYgP And finally, thank you to the TCA for bringing the industry together once again. What makes this event special is the sense that for a few days, competitors become collaborators — sharing ideas, learning from one another, and working toward a stronger future for trucking. Already looking forward to next year.

Today is Employee Appreciation Day, and we’re celebrating the GLCS team that works behind the scenes to keep freight moving. Our team isn’t just made up of IT professionals and consultants. They’re former operators, dispatchers, drivers, problem-solvers, and industry veterans who understand trucking because they’ve lived it. Every day, they help carriers navigate technology challenges, protect critical systems, support applications, and solve problems before they impact operations. In an industry that never stops moving, neither do they. To our GLCS team: thank you for the expertise, dedication, and care you bring to our customers and to each other. The work you do makes a real difference for the fleets and people we serve. 👏 Happy Employee Appreciation Day to our incredible team.

Growth doesn’t break freight companies. Disconnection does. Revisiting a powerful conversation between Nate Johnson & Kristy Knichel, CEO of @Knichellogistics, we rehatch their perspective on what scaling really requires: ✔️ Clear processes ✔️ Training tied to your systems ✔️ Leaders who actually listen The biggest risk? What leadership thinks is happening…vs. what the frontline is actually dealing with. A new system won’t fix misalignment. You can’t scale what you don’t understand. If you’re running a brokerage, carrier, or logistics team - this one hits. 🎧 Watch the full episode on Driving Forward YouTube channel for a practical look at scaling you business. 🔗Link in Bio!
