Bernie Sanders' post accurately cites ITEP's April 14, 2026 report: 88 profitable U.S. corporations (including the listed ones like Disney, Tesla, CVS, Citigroup, Palantir, United Airlines) reported $0 current federal income tax on ~$105B combined 2025 U.S. pretax book income. This stems from legal mechanisms—NOL carryforwards, R&D credits, accelerated depreciation, and provisions in the 2017 TCJA plus 2025 Trump tax law.
No outright deception or fabrication in the data. However, it employs selective framing and omission: compares individual wage-based income tax to corporate profits tax (separate entities; shareholders face dividend/capital gains taxes). Ignores substantial non-income taxes paid (payroll, state/local, property). Cherry-picks without noting average effective corporate rates (~12-15% overall) or policy intent of credits (innovation, EVs, growth).
Partisan narrative pushes "progressive reform" by labeling it "absurd" and "rigged," attributing to GOP cuts while downplaying bipartisan incentives and economic incidence (corp taxes often borne by workers/consumers per studies). No major logical fallacies, but emotional appeal and incomplete context for propaganda effect favoring higher corporate minimum taxes. Evidence-based view: legal avoidance is real; broader tax burden and incentives matter for full picture.

Here's an idea. Tax the rich. Anyone earning over 180k per year should get taxed at 100% No one needs to be earning that much. Redistribute the wealth.

@Bradley40468119 @bruce_arthur Yes Bradley40468119 you are absolutely right and the Pope is very much wrong
English

@bruce_arthur Someone should correct the pope, sorry.
His statement about warriors prayers not being heard is beyond the pale.
It slaps the face of every service member, of every nation.
It disregards David as well.
(The man after God's own heart.)
A warrior his entire adult life.
