There's an opportunity to build a 9-figure business that brings B2B marketing out of the stone age. And I'm going to seize that opportunity. Here's my thinking... I like big markets that are complacent & driven by herd mentality. I believe B2B marketing is one such market. I can count on one hand the number of B2B companies who inspire me with their marketing: - Beehiiv - Figure - Hubspot - Shopify - Y Combinator This is insane. B2B companies don’t lack marketing chops because they lack interesting things to say. They lack marketing chops because they’ve succumbed to status quo thinking & allow a proven playbook for “demand gen” to prevent them from truly wowing the market. I want to bring back B2B’s marketing mojo. No one is jealous of it. Most marketers think B2B marketing is stale, unoriginal, and salesy. But it doesn’t have to be that way. What B2B marketing is today: - 101 SEO blog content written by an LLM - Webinars drier than overcooked chicken - Cringey booths at trade shows - Cold outreach begging for you to accept free AirPod Pros - 33 page whitepapers that over-market & under-deliver - Industry events that feel like an adult's version of detention - Company social that's run by a PR person - Sterile branding that treats people like transactions - Overly aggressive email marketing that feels like a fly circling your head that never leaves What B2B marketing needs to be: - Founder/exec social that's high specificity, high voice, low sales - Destination email newsletters that become a go-to read for the ICP - Creators-in-residence pumping out in-niche social/video content - 301 (data/expert-driven) blog content that is SEO-informed, not driven - Co-hosted video podcasts between industry experts/friends - Paid marketing campaigns with high trust, in-niche creators - Unhinged company social thats informed, but not boring AF - Unique IRL experiences that are made for people not professionals - Supreme-style momentum marketing around product drops - Slack communities for the ICP that becomes their go-to community to get ahead professionally The future of B2B marketing is: 1) Creative 2) Open to taking risks 3) Value-first, sales second 4) Multi-channel 5) Design-obsessed 6) Personality-driven 7) Conversational (aka human) @storyarb is going to help create this future. Does this look like a multi-offering agency? Does it look like several businesses under a single holdco? I’m not not sure. But what I am sure of is that a massive gap exists in the market between where B2B marketing is & where it needs to be. And there are not enough great solutions to close this gap, otherwise the gap wouldn’t exist. The challenge here won’t be “is the opportunity big enough?” The challenge will be “can we execute successfully?” If you want to help build the future of B2B marketing, storyarb is hiring for several roles: - Content creators - Account managers - Content strategists Link below 👇

I cohosted an event with a big tech company. It was a simple lunch for 50 but required 30 emails, 2 spreadsheets, 1 prep call and 10 people planning. This is why big companies fail - they forget that they were once scrappy startups. This type of over engineering of small decisions will be their ultimate downfall.
