You may not like it, you may complain, but that’s how the system goes. You say it’s wrong, but wait until you become the person of interest. Procedural law protects you. Otherwise, you can be forced to admit guilt against your will.

What government agencies are not telling you is that when they issue a subpoena, either the respondent or his lawyer can appear at the proceedings. It may disappoint some, but it is what it is. Also, when a person lawyers up, he may choose not to answer, upon advice of counsel.

And that the cutting is subject to environmental assessment that seriously considers alternatives to avoid cutting or to minimize negative environmental impacts. It’s not automatic; you don’t just cut a tree because it’s convenient for you.

@gpblaw “Justice” has been served on 1 side already through the lynching, Atty. & I said this as a Comms + Corp Affairs pro who wields and navigates the court of public opinion. It’s all a matter of time when the court of law moves and he lands in jail, and anyone who was an accessory.

Coach Tab and the Ateneo have been condemned and lynched in the court of public opinion. But to this day, no criminal or civil case has been filed to finally put this tragedy to closure. So let a case be filed so due process will take its course and justice be finally served.

Anybody still believes DENR? This is happening in all parts of the country and they want us to believe that they are not complicit in these activities? The leadership should resign for being incapable of protecting the environment.
