When I want to install Gulp, I receive the error message "npm : npm WARN deprecated source-map-url@0.4.1: See #deprecated" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/lydell/source-…" What is the best way to install gulp? @gulpjs

Maintaining open source is a full-time job 👀

People ask when gulp v5 will be done, but with the meager amount of funding cannot cover the costs of our maintainers to do the work necessary.

We've just finished pruning our "Organization Support" banner on gulpjs.com Since the beginning of the pandemic, we've had over 6 companies stop donating to the project—leaving us with only THREE organization-level sponsors.

@matic_branko In some light user feedback sessions, we were told that there wasn't a good market for these types of premium services. The community seems to do a well-enough job at this. 🤷

Setting up a @gulpjs file from scratch is such a pain... But, the same is with any other alternative. I don't understand why they don't create boilerplates for most common use cases. Make them premium, whatever.

@philippstorl 1. Gulp is stable software. It doesn't need much maintenance work. 2. We actively triage issues weekly. 3. It is made of small modules and follows semver, as per good node practices, so almost all work happens in other repos on github.com/gulpjs (many updated days ago).

Is @gulpjs dead? I'm wondering as there are nearly no activities in the repo (github.com/gulpjs/gulp) since months.
